Chapter 21

Reid

Last night I followed Paige home and waited outside until I saw a light on the second-floor turn on and received a text telling me that she was safely in her locked bedroom. After I got home, I took the longest shower of my life and ended up jacking off twice. It was amazing that I hadn’t come in my pants last night. If it had taken even one more thrust to make Paige come, I definitely would have. Driving home in wet, sticky boxers wasn’t something that I was eager to experience.

I texted my little buddy that I would be late for school and talked with my parents at the breakfast table, gaining their approval for this morning’s activities.

Now I found myself in a quiet waiting room just a few feet from the receptionist that kept eyeing me skeptically from her perch behind her glass desk. I looked around the room and took in the tasteful but expensive decor and the large plants that dotted the room. It was apparent from their house that Paige’s family had money but sitting in an office waiting room that was ten stories up and looked out over the streets of the larger city that were a few miles down from the smaller town of Rocky Hills, Texas, I could admit I was intimidated.

I still didn’t know what her uncle did based on the building or the office I was currently sitting in.

“You may go in now, sir.” The receptionist startled me out of my musings, and I jumped to my feet, eager to get this over with and to get back to the school where I would have eyes on my girl.

I entered the office through a heavy wood door and immediately saw a guy who looked around my father’s age, maybe a little older. He didn’t have much resemblance to Paige except for their eyes. He had the same aqua color that she did. It seemed as if she got her blond coloring from her mother then if her dad and his brother looked anything alike.

I walked to his desk and held out my hand. He looked at me questioningly but didn’t hesitate to shake my hand and gestured for me to take a seat in one of the large leather chairs in front of the desk. I thanked him and sat down. I knew he had to be curious by this point as to why a teenager was visiting him.

“So, Mr. Anderson?” He raised a questioning brow and waited for me to confirm my name before continuing. “What brings you here to my office. I’m going to assume you don’t have a business you are looking to find an investor for.”

So that’s what he did, interesting. He must be good at his job.

“I’m here about Paige, sir.” I waited for my words to sink in and watched his reaction. I didn’t know if I expected him to get angry and demand I leave and stop seeing his niece or what but the deep sigh and him leaning back into his seat, sinking into his plush seat.
